Position: JBOSS Admin (PES)
Understanding of the installation process, domain/instance creation, configuring server startup scripts, ability to deploy applications, setup conn pools, jms queues, jndi, etc.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Hands on experience of installing and configuring Apache Http server with JBoss AS7
• Linux system administration experience including setting up DEV, QA and PROD environments and setting up their backups/restore mechanism
• Writing shell scripts to automate certain task Required Skills:
• 7+ years experience with industry standard web application servers (Core experience in JBOSS, EWS and WebSphere or Weblogic experience).
• Experience with Automation and Continuous Delivery pertaining to scripting with Shell, Ruby
• Websphere or other java application server, Ant Scripting, AnthillPRo, Jython Scripting, Shell Scripting, Light Perl Scripting, Experience working with a high volume ecommerce site a plus.
• 6+ years UNIX experience (including AIX, Linux, Solaris).
• 6+ years experience with industry standard web servers (IHS or Apache experience a plus).
• This candidate should have 5+ years’ experience in implementing systems withing a complex secure network.
• Very strong analysis/troubleshooting skills, strong partnering/relationship building skills.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred and 5-7 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong hands-on JBoss experience
• Good understanding of Weblogic, especially if ever migrated apps from Weblogic to JBoss
• Client currently supports JBoss EAP 6.x and CE 7.x along with Weblogic 9.2, 10.3.x, and 12c and Apache
• Must be able to support all the apps within this purview
• While the primary emphasis of this position will be supporting the SME's and helping with the JBoss, the expertise in Weblogic will also help with all the day-to-day support
• This resource will support existing Weblogic, apache and Jboss, as well as, BUILD OUT new JBOSS applications as part of WebLogic-to-Jboss conversions Ready to work in rotational shifts / night shift. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
