Design and development of shake table - Civil Engineering project

Image
Explore earthquake hazards and damage to buildings by constructing model buildings and subjecting the buildings to ground vibration (shaking similar to earthquake vibrations) on a small shake table. CIVIL constructions and engineering structures are designed to withstand a variety of operational loads and environ-mental conditions over decades of safe and economic usage. Earthquakes are part of this environment. Apart from destruction of life and property, they can have serious indirect consequences. The exact simulation of earthquake motion has been a serious challenge to researchers and engineers. Shake table testing is being increasingly used in earthquake engineering research centers worldwide, as it is the only available means of nearly truly reproducing the dynamic effects that earthquakes impose on structures. A relatively simple system has been assembled with care to ensure an adequate replication of input motion by the shake table system. Subjective comparisons of input...

Low Cost Construction material - Project for Civil engineering students

The Council for Works and Housing (CWHR) is an R & Organization under the aegis of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The main function of this council is to promote scientific research on problems related to different types of civil engineering structures such as buildings, roads, bridges, dams, harbors, treatment plants etc. The CWHR has endeavored in R & D work for the development of durable, economical and innovative materials for the construction industry with focus on the utilization of local/ indigenous techniques and materials for import substitution of construction inputs. Concrete adding with fiber- Civil engineering project

Image
Concrete is one of the most versatile building materials. It can be cast to fit any structural shape. It is readily available in urban areas at relatively low cost. Concrete is strong under compression yet weak under tension and a relatively brittle material. As such, a form of reinforcement is needed. The most common type of concrete reinforcement is via steel bars. The advantages to using concrete include high comprehensive strength , good fire resistance, high water resistance, low maintenance, and long service life. The disadvantages to using concrete include poor tensile strength, and form work requirement . Download concrete adding with fiber  project [DOWNLOAD]

Civil engineering project on Safe water technology

Water everywhere is increasingly being contaminated from numerous sources and this, especially in drinking waters is a major concern, due to the associated health hazards. The most common contaminants being suspended matter, mud, silt, algae, bacteria and other pathogens. Besides large bulk processing systems for industry, Safe Water in India also has special focus on small and medium water supply needs. Solutions are offered for treatment of Municipal Waters, Surface Waters, Open and Tube Well Waters  including source waters from streams, rivers, ponds and lakes for drinking water for Residences, Housing Colonies, Resorts, Villages, and Small Towns. Today, more than 1.1 billion people lack access to safe drinking water and 2.6 billion people have no access to basic sanitation. In most industrialized countries, access to safe http://www.techprozetta.com/2017/07/how-to-remove-yourself-from-blocked.html water is nearly universal, and is often taken for granted. This acc...

Civil Engineering project on College hostel plan

SITE SLECTION  LEVEL AT THE SITE : - The level at the site must be higher than that of its surrounding so as to provide good drainage. CLIMATE CONDITION : - The intensity of the rainfall and sub soil water level should be low as to avoid dampness in the building. SUB-SOIL CONDITION : - A hard strata should be available at a reasonable depth so as to construct the foundation of the building safely and economically. AVAILABILITIES OF MODERN AMENITIES : - The site must be within municipal limits so that modern amenities like water supply, electricity, drainage, road etc. can be made available inner future if there is no provision at present. AVAILABILITIES OF OTHER FACILITIES : - The site should provide as easy access from the nearest road and after sufficient light and air, these should be good and cheap transport facilities available near the site, it is always better if public services like fire brigade, police station etc. SURROUNDINGS:- The situation and surrounding ...

Labour relation project for civil engineering

Today, India is the second fastest growing economy in the world. The Indian construction industry is an integral part of the economy and a conduit for a substantial part of its development investment, is poised for growth on account of industrialization, urbanization, economic development and people's rising expectations for improved quality of living. In India, construction is the second largest economic activity after agriculture . Construction accounts for nearly 65 per cent of the total investment in infrastructure and is expected to be the biggest beneficiary of the surge in infrastructure investment over the next five years.  Investment in construction accounts for nearly 11 per cent of India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). €239.68 billion is likely to be invested in the infrastructure sector over the next five to 10 years - in power, roads, bridges, city infrastructure, ports, airports, telecommunications , which would provide a huge boost to the construction i...

Concrete beams project for Civil engineering

BEHAVIOR  OF REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS WITH COCONUT SHELL AS COARSE AGGREGATES The high cost of conventional building materials is a major factor affecting housing delivery in world. This has necessitated research into alternative materials of construction. The project paper aims at analyzing flexural and comprehensive strength characteristics of concrete produced using crushed, granular coconut as substitutes for conventional coarse aggregate with partial replacement using M30 grade concrete.  Beams are caste , tested and their physical and mechanical properties are determined. The main objective is to encourage the use of these ‘seemingly’ waste products as construction materials in low-cost housing. It is also expected to serve the purpose of encouraging housing developers in investing these materials in house construction . Continue to entire project [DOWNLOAD]
