Responsibilities:
The Network System Engineer position within CTS Infrastructure is responsible for managing our network infrastructure in support of our CTS solutions and services. This position requires knowledge of the Cisco routing, switching and security platforms.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
2-4 Years Network Support experience
Strong organizational skills
A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking
Working Knowledge on Cisco Technologies/Hardware
Basic knowledge of NATs, ACLs and Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols
Ability to work off-hours when required
Provide on-call support
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN network problems
Providing escalation support, including engaging supplier support
Fulfilling service requests for infrastructure services which includes Firewall, Routers configuration
Preferred Qualifications:
Current CCNA certification, CCNP will be an added advantage
ITIL Certification
Working knowledge of common network monitoring and security utilities, such as Netscout, E-health, Wireshark and Proxy servers
PIX/ASA/FWSM firewall and VPN implementation and troubleshoot
Basic Knowledge on ACE/CSM and Citrix Netscaler load balancers
Exposure to Wide Area Network (WAN) concepts, experience including MPLS and point-to-point circuits, BGP configurations
Basic Knowledge on any Scripting language like Python,Pearl will be an added advantage
Must possess the initiative to resolve issues before they become critical
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Propensity for knowledge sharing
Ability to work in a team environment
Innovative, self-motivated, and able to interact with all levels of the organization
Ability to work assigned night or day schedule and work off-hours when required
