Job Description:

• Experience on Linux & Unix platform
  
• Expertise in LINUX/UNIX Internal
  
• Responsible for installation and configuration of Linux, Solaris & Oracle 
  
• Maintenance, patching, security best practices for Linux/Unix environments
  
• Performance tuning of Linux/Unix hosts
  
• Troubleshoot techniques for break fixes, performance, and normal deployments
  
• Experience in implementing, and supporting Linux server solutions.
  
• Shell, Perl Scripting background. Other languages programming experience a plus.
  
• Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) & UNIX (HP-UX, Solaris) administration and application support
  
• Manage operations and monitoring of our applications and infrastructure
  
• Task automation of infrastructure and application provisioning using bash, Python scripting
  
• Provides senior level Tier 2 Unix services, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex hardware and/or software issues and outages elevated from the Support Center and Technical Services groups. Maintains and troubleshoots hardware and/or software systems (e.g., applications, proxy servers, and fire walls) on multiple platforms.
  
• Experience of managing Team

Day to Day responsibilities:

• Day to day management and support of servers;
  
• Being part of a team of technical specialists in service delivery and transitional projects;
  
• Monitoring of the servers, addressing any issues raised and ensuring that contracted services are met;
  
• Proactive maintenance of the server estate;
  
• Server Hardware and  Server OS break fix using the EARS ticketing system;
  
• Patching &  updates;
  
• Implementing service improvements;
