Google to release 20 million infected mosquitoes

In an unprecedented attempt, Google's verily will release 20 mn sterile and infected mosquitoes in California to control the population of disease carrying will mosquitoes.

The company has developed an autonomous machine that can breed 150000 mosquitoes a week. In the coming summer, the company will release 1 million infected mosquitoes every week for 20 weeks in two neighborhoods in Fresno.
